The 2010 Families United Weekend of Remembrance will bring together more than 2,000 Gold Star families—the mothers, fathers, wives, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country—along with military officers, elected officials, wounded warriors, and dignitaries to pay tribute to America’s fallen Heroes from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Families United for our Troops and their Mission is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is to "Honor the Fallen, Support those who Fight, and Serve their Families through programs, events, and outreach". We are a national organization of Gold Star and active duty families – including many with loved ones in harm’s way – as well as veterans and Americans who share a deep appreciation for our men and women in uniform and support them in their mission to keep America safe. Together, we ensure that the sacrifices of our courageous military do not go unnoticed and that these men and women and their families receive the support they need and deserve.
Founded in 2005, Families United has grown to become one of the nation’s leading military family organizations in the country. We support America’s Gold Star and active duty families through social gatherings, educational programs, charitable support and patriotic activities. Through Families United, military families receive the support, resources, and opportunities they need. For more information on Families United, please visit
